September 11, 2001 -- Through blurred double vision, I watched in horror as the Twin Towers in NYC crumbled to the ground. I feared I was going blind and prayed, "Please don't let these horrifying images be the last I see."
An MRI revealed a brain lesion pressing against my optic nerve. Several years of invasive tests and terrifying uncertainty followed. Finally, in December of 2004 I received my diagnosis ...
I began daily injections of Copaxone in June of 2005. Although I seem to have permanent symptoms from my last exacerbation, my last MRI revealed no new lesions and no new scarring.
I recently discovered that the best prep for injection is a warm compress before and after. I no longer get unsightly bruises or huge knots and there's less pain.
Little known tidbit about Friday: I paid $600 for my very first computer in 1996. It was built to spec for one reason ... so I could play Diablo. I became addicted to the music of Tristram Village. To me, it's musical valium.

2. Alarm: Really the only sound that makes me instantly angry. Not just angry. Furious.
3. Operative: Checking equipment back in my military days... used to have call in whether or not shit was working.
4. Changing: It seems like it shouldn't even be fall yet, but winter's almost over. I don't like when the leaves change.
5. Framed: Roger Rabbit. Yep.
6. Beer: I used to hate it. Now, I don't hate it. I'm so charismatic when I drink it though lol.
7. Referral: I used to get these in high school, meaning that I was being "referred" to detention to ruin my day.
8. Unmasked: And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those meddling kids!
9. Movie star: I honestly think I could be a movie star.
10. Handbook: Strangely, nothing really comes to mind when I hear/read this word. Hm.
Paranormal :: Kay. She died in the master bedroom of our house. I'm pretty sure she still lingers around to this day.

Framed :: I'm surrounded by framed photos of my family and friends at work and at home. They give me serenity.
Beer :: I find the smell of beer on a mans breath sexy and sensual. OMG!! Deirdre. Me too! But I hate the taste and smell of beer by itself. Gross.
