Where was I?  Oh, yeah, I was wanting to get this lump in on my face thing over with.  I was saying, "Let's just get on with it and cut that sucker out." 

Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

Yesterday the surgeon told me the lump is a tumor on my parotid gland (salivary gland).  This is why my mouth is either dry as a chip or I'm drooling involuntarily.  I know, real attractive.  It's also affecting a facial nerve and my ear.  He said the same thing everyone else is saying ... only a biopsy will tell more.  But, he also said that it has to come out because it's causing complications.  Yay!  Cool!  That's exactly what I wanted.  Then, I received some information on the removal of a parotid tumor.

The surgeon has to incise my face -- from the front of my ear (at the top) to about two - three inches below my ear.  I have a tendency to keloid.  Can you say ugly, overgrown scar?  A drain also has to be left in my neck -- I'm not sure of the period of time.  Why don't we just add a couple more incisions on the face and slap a big old bolt in the drain hole and call me Fridaystein?  Crapola!  Can't a girl catch a break.  I wish my mommy was here even though I don't think **sana, sana is going to fix this one.

I go to a surgeon who specializes in this type of surgery on Monday.  So, I get my wish.  =^p  I should have wished for something useful like a tummy tuck or a butt lift.

It's something my Mama used to say when I was hurt.  It's a magic saying that makes things heal quickly ... at least when I was a child that's what we were told and honestly it always seemed to work.  Then later on we found out the translation:

       Heal, Heal, little frog's butt
       If it doesn't heal today
       it will heal tomorrow

Apparently it wasn't the saying but the mother's love that "healed" the "owies".  That and the besos (kisses).
