Sometimes it becomes quite necessary to eat a little crow.  Well just in case anyone is wondering, it doesn't taste like chicken and the feathers get stuck in your throat.  In other words, it's pretty uncomfortable.  But hey ... I'm not above admitting I was wrong.  I'll be the first to admit it ... I was wrong.  I can accept responsibility ... I'm willing to own my mistakes and misdeeds.

I've been hurtful to people in the past.  Of course, at the time, I was totally clueless.  I'm not going to go into the whole thing but suffice it to say that I behaved badly.  It doesn't matter what I was going through or feeling, NOTHING gives a person license to be mean-spirited and insensitive toward others.

I've apologized to people.  Some have forgiven me.  Some have watched me grow.  Some don't want apologies and I certainly understand that.  At times my behavior was so bad that I really haven't earned the chance to redeem myself.  The only thing I can do is try to get better.  The day I'll stop trying to find answers, to learn and to improve myself is the day I'm dead.

I may not be who I should be, nor am I who I will become, but thank goodness, I'm not who I used to be.  Honestly, I didn't much like her ... correction ... didn't much like me then either.
